The Washington Gender Alliance is committed to the ideals of personal freedom and honest discovery in the matters of gender and gender identity. We seek to displace ignorance with education, intolerance with enlightenment, and fear with community in a comfortable and supportive environment.

We offer organizations and institutions, as well as individuals, a source of reliable information to understand questions of gender identity.

Participation in the Washington Gender Alliance is not limited by considerations of race, sex, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, gender, or gender identity. We welcome people with all types of gender identity and those questioning their gender to our open support meetings, including transsexuals (FTM and MTF), cross-dressers, genderqueer, transgendered, two-spirit, intersexed, friends and family of transgender people, or anyone searching for information regarding gender and gender identity. Specialty support meetings are limited to participation by members of the intended audience as indicated by the title.
