All of our facilitators are volunteers!

Our goal is to have enough volunteers for our facilitators for each group to work in teams, with a team for each location, with one member of each team serving as the team leader.

We also strive to have an experienced facilitator coordinate all teams and assure all meet our standards.

Facilitators are required to have recent experience as a member of one of our support groups. They are also asked to commit to at least one full year of service as a facilitator.

Support group facilitators are members of our community. They are not professional counselors or therapists. They are not mental health professionals.

Volunteer facilitators need to have a flexible schedule, lots of energy, ability and the desire to do the job. Facilitators must have the time available and be able to commit to attend regularly. A positive attitude is a must. Experience in groups is valuable. Knowledge of gender identity issues is also very important. It also helps to be a good communicator. Facilitators must be comitted to helping others.
