All of our facilitators are volunteers!

Our facilitators work in teams. There is a team for each location. One member of each team serves as the team leader. We also have a coordinator who is tasked with assuring all teams meet our standards.

Support group facilitators are members of our community. They are not professional counselors or therapists. They are not mental health professionals.

Volunteer facilitators need to have a flexible schedule, lots of energy, ability and the desire to do the job. Facilitators must have the time available and be able to commit to attend regularly. A positive attitude is a must. Experience in groups is valuable. Knowledge of gender identity issues is also very important. It also helps to be a good communicator. Facilitators must be comitted to helping others.
